And so it is over. Teams for all over the world are claiming, "This is the best season yet!" and "We've had a hugely successful season!" And now it is my turn, to tell all the readers of my press releases (which is not very many people and even less of that who give a piece of horse poop) what I thought of the season.
This season was somewhat average.
But its great to see that there is a new era in the OCM competition that is unprecedented. Far away, at the very top of the rankings, three teams battle it out in the form of FFL, Equipo Easy On and Team Whalers. Gone are the days of teams like Babon and snyltarane and skils. No team can sit comfortably on the cushions of their thrown. Instead, they are engulfed by paranoia and strongly advised to attend counselling.
At the beginning of the season I gave myself some goals. With the magic of copy and paste, they were:
1. Train Rai Nino to his peak.
2. Reach Division 6.
3. Reach the top 20 in Australian rankings.
1. Rai Nino is currently unmaxed.
2. Done. Division 5 reached.
3. Done. We are 12th in Australia.
So two of of three goals were reached. But the problem is that we've hit a road block. I'm finding it hard to find victories and find cash to train younger riders.
So the goals of this upcoming season 18 are:
1. Max Rai Nino.
2. Reach Div. 4
3. Reach top 10 in Australia.
4. Break the addiction of impulsive buying.
So there we have it. The end of a mediocre season for the team but an exciting one for the OCM community as a whole. I look forward to a long season of frustration and lack of results. Good luck, everyone!
